There is a gift inscription in pencil to the previous owner on the half title, but no other internal markings. Shelfwear to the edges is minimal, with faint associated rubbing to the covers. Bound in stiff illustrated paper covers and publishedon the occasion of the exhibition from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco CA September 6-November 10, 1991 and finishing at the Akron Art Museum, Akron OH June 19-August 15, 1993. One of the most mystical photographers of the "American Scene" of the 1960s. Cindy Sherman writes," Ralph Eugene Meatyard was one of only a few photographers who had any sort of influence on my photographic roots.I believed in his bizarre, fictional world.".
