It was, perhaps, partly because of this that so many pioneering flights were made throughout the African Continent, continuing even up to 1939. The lack of roads and railways presented a challenge that could be accepted with optimism by enthusiasts for air travel. The author describes these flights in detail together with the Airline Structure which grew out of them. Ref JJJ2. Seller Inventory # 017942
