From Library Journal:
In his introduction, Lovett recounts his visit to Calcutta and its squalor in order to understand Mother Teresa's way of love: as he holds the hand of a leper, he is enlightened. This set of 13 meditations, on topics such as purity, joy, hunger, forgiveness, suffering, the family, and vocation, illustrates Mother Teresa's love for the poorest of the poor, the path that underscores all her spirituality and that of the order, Missionaries of Charity, which she founded. According to her, suffering is a gift that relives Christ's passion and contributes to one's redemption. These meditations are important as for who wrote them, an influential Nobel Peace laureate, as they are for their content. Recommended for seminary and public libraries.
