Rather than the typical, gimmicky images often found in titles on special effects, Zuckerman shows how techniques like hand-coloring, negative sandwiching, and masking can be used to illustrate a concept. Sample photos contain captions that explain, step by step, how an effect was produced. This text provides a functional yet fun how-to of photographic manipulation, which can produce images that are highly marketable as advertising imagery.
