From the Back Cover

Dr. Brett Johnson bought his first 356 Porsche in 1971 a running $325, 356A cabriolet. It was a T 1 model with teardrop taillights, which turned out to be a fairly rare combination. In the following years he bought other 356s and began to develop an eye for details.
Using his not so vast 356 experience in 1975, he started writing a restoration column in the fledgling 356 Registrymagazine. Over the years, the column's subject matter drifted from restoration to authenticity and served as the basis for the first book published about 356 Porsche authenticity. Additional authenticity titles and updated editions followed.
In addition to all things Porsche, Dr. Johnson enjoys historic amusement parks, restoring hopeless cars and owns a veterinary practice in Indianapolis.
