This book has been a work in progress for many years. Most of the chapters did not start out to be chapters in a book. They began as journal writings, research into religions and spiritual teachings, notes from sessions with clients, notes from classes, and notes from meanderings down mental pathways during the day. The chapter called Romancing the Myth: One Woman's Journey tells a small part of my quest into the unknown, the parts so difficult to look at and to accept. It is the descent into the Shadow that leads to the True Self, which is the spirit. This road to understanding the totality of our being is painful, joyful and exhilarating, but it is the true task of the spirit, and why we incarnate. I invite you to join me in this quest, to learn more about ourselves and how we can learn from each other, and how we can change the world by changing first our own myths, and then the world's myths.
