Synopsis
The third edition of the Core Curriculum for Medical-Surgical Nursing continues to focus on the belief by the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) that a comprehensive organization of the vast body of knowledge in this specialty is necessary as a foundation for practice in adult health nursing. This publication is designed for new and experienced nurses who work with adult patients and their families as they deal with one or more health problems.
The third edition of the Core Curriculum for Medical-Surgical Nursing will provide the practitioner with a foundation for practice in the area of adult health nursing; a reference for review of particular areas of practice within medical-surgical nursing; a guideline for the preparation for medical-surgical certification examinations; and a template for organization of review courses that focus on adult health nursing.
