About the Author:

Jean Kunhardt and Lisa Spiegel are the founders and Co-Directors of The Soho Parenting Center in New York City. Jean Kunhardt specializes in children's sleep issues in addition to leading parenting groups and counseling adults and children. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and two teenage daughters. Jean and her sister Sandra Kunhardt Basile are the granddaughters of Dorothy Kunhardt, creator of the beloved children's book, Pat the Bunny. Lisa Spiegel serves as a member of Child Magazine's Advisory Board. Her approach to her work draws on an eclectic range of disciplines, including psychotherapy, hypnosis, life coaching, yoga and EMDR. She enjoys parcticing yoga, designing needlepoint art and spending time with her two teenage daughters. Sandra Kunhardt Basile has written for PBS, ABC's 20/20 as well as for Parents Magazine. She devotes time to teaching creative and journal writing to children and to two mother-daughter book groups. She is also an artist, and has created small and large-scale mosaics. She lives in Rhode Island with her husband and two daughters.
