From the Author

This is the second book in the completed Sarlak Trilogy. Now, the Dream Fighters have learned their powers and must use them in a battle against Sarlak. I still kept the series' humor in this book, though the subject matter gets a little more serious.

Sarlak's Revenge bridges the gap between Discovery! and United They Stand, but it also stands on its own, as readers can pick this up without reading the first book. I do, however, recommend starting with Discovery!

I really enjoyed setting up the tension between the characters as well as the fight scenes, which took a bit more work than I expected. Of all the Dream Fighter books, this one, in many ways, was the most exciting to write.

About the Author

Calvin Locke is the pen name for a mystery author, college professor, and video game journalist. He always felt books for children read like, well, books for children, and wanted to change that. The Dream Fighter Chronicles reads more like a video game, giving the reader a closer interaction with the characters and a sense they are in the middle of the action.
Calvin believes books should offer entertainment first and foremost, while developing reading skills at the same time. He lives on Long Island, NY, and is currently working on a spinoff series, tentatively titled, The Shadows of the Knight.
