Tim Holschlag has devoted his life to the pursuit of smallmouth bass, fishing more smallmouth waters than any known angler-- over 300 rivers and hundreds of lakes. He has been a recognized authority on smallmouth bass since his first book on the topic, "Stream Smallmouth Fishing" (Stackpole Books, 1990). He is also the author of "Smallmouth Fly Fishing" (Smallmouth Angler Press, 2005) and "River Smallmouth Fishing" (Smallmouth Angler Press, 2011) and creator of the DVD "Stream Smallmouth Fishing" (Smallmouth Angler Press, 2007).
An avid smallmouth angler for 50 years, Tim Holschlag is also a 20-year smallmouth fishing guide, instructor, lecturer, outdoor writer, award-winning conservationist, and the designer of custom smallmouth fishing flies, rods and gear. He has had over 600 articles and hundreds of photos published in major fishing magazines. Each year, he does several national television and radio shows and speaks at fishing/outdoor expos. He has been profiled as an expert angler, guide and conservationist in books, magazines and newspapers around the country, and earned a loyal following of thousands.
"This thick volume is crammed full of information on every aspect of smallmouth fishing" -- American Angler magazine "Cutting-edge presentations. How to catch smallies in any size water. Targeting big bronzebacks. It's all here, brilliantly written in a no-nonsense fashion." -- Feather-Craft Fly Fishing
