About the Author

AMATUL RAHMÂN OMER
The Holy Quran was rendered into English by Mrs. Amatul Rahman Omar. She is the FIRST woman in Islamic history to translate the Holy Quran into English. She was a scholar and teacher of the English and Arabic language. She received numerous awards from the University of Punjab for her outstanding distinction and achievement in the Arabic language. She spent most part of her life in teaching Arabic and English. (May Allah be please with her and accept her work).

ABDUL MANNAN OMER
Mrs. Omar was assisted in this difficult task of translation by her husband Abdul Mannan Omar. Mr. Omar dedicated his life to learning and teaching about Islam and was an editor of the 'Encyclopedia of Islam' for more than 25 years.
