What is Spiricality? Spiricality is a combination of the words “spirituality” and “practicality.” You can think of Spiricality as the Jeet Kune Do of philosophy, just like the great Bruce Lee’s original martial arts style, Spiricality is “the philosophy of no philosophy.” On the spiritual side of life, a lot of people believe in the power of meditating, doing yoga, praying, and thinking happy thoughts all day long, but also struggle financially, and although they want to eat amazing delicacies, drive fancy cars, and travel to exotic places, in reality they can’t afford it. Praying and meditating is nice, but it doesn’t pay the bills, pay for the insurance and maintenance of your fancy car, or put food in your belly. On the financial and practical side of life, many people believe that time = money and money = power. And some of these people will disregard your feelings, and take your money in any way possible to make them richer. They usually have fancy cars, go on exotic vacations, have multiple expensive homes and all the fancy “stuff,” but they often come home to an empty house lacking love, true friends, and/or self-fulfillment. Money to buy material stuff is nice, but it can’t buy you love, happiness, or peace. You are going to die eventually (sorry to break the news to you) and can’t take any of it with you, so what’s the point of using up your life accumulating it? A harmonious combination of these ideals is necessary in order to live a happy life in modern society, which allows you to be fulfilled, be at peace, and feel loved, and also provides you the finances to fund your dreams, vacations, and ideal lifestyle. Welcome to Spiricality!
