I wrote Hacked Again because I was hacked myself and wanted to share my experiences with others so they don't have to go through the same worries, anxieties and trust issues I've had to face over the past several years. This book is designed to empower readers to stop and think about their own security. Whether it's a small business, a single consumer, a family or a corporate enterprise, Hacked Again shares security guidelines, statistics and media perspectives for anyone looking to secure their network or device. Part of the journey for me was understanding not just the HOW but the WHY so I spend time examining hacker motives. This is the first line of defence for anyone worried about their social media footprint, private data or financial security. Once you are aware you are a target and aware of your vulnerabilities, you can more easily secure yourself and avoid scams and predators with confidence.

As a security expert in the media, I deal with many companies and people hiding the fact they were hacked or denying it altogether. This helps no one including them. Sharing experiences and insights can be one of the most effective way to combat hackers. It also helps educate the general public as well as some experts because just like the masses, we too can learn something new. We all use email, mobile devices and internet connectivity so we all have experienced spam, phishing scams and even identity theft to some degree. In Hacked Again, I tried to paint a fuller picture of all kinds of attacks that affect the gamut of individuals and corporations alike.
