Stated First Edition in original unclipped dust jacket. Clean black boards with red lettering on cover and spine. No fading or fraying. Binding is tight & square, no cracking. Pages and edges are clean, with very slight browning to endpapers. Tiny blind embossed previous owner name on front free endpaper. 218 pages. Dust jacket is not price clipped (2.50 on lower corner of front inside flap), has slight edge wear and small light creases, corner chips at top and bottom spine edges, closed tear at top spine fold extending slightly into spine. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.

Very slightly rubbed spine extremities, lightly toned text block edges. Former owner's book plate mounted on front flyleaf, a few minor soil spots on half-title, otherwise clean interior. Tight, square binding. Stated 2nd ptg.: Feb. 1952 (five years after the original 1947 issue). Dust jacket rubbed and slightly chipped along top edge of front flap, otherwise light rubbing to edges, a few very minor chips and triangular chip extending to 3/8" at head of front joint, 3/4" closed tear at heel of front joint, rear panel somewhat toned, still presents well in mylar. 218 pp. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
