About the Author:

The eldest son of fourteen siblings, Rev. Dr. John Kallon and was predisposed to religious endeavors from the teachings from his parents. He received a Masters of Divinity degree and a Doctorate in Church Ministry at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Throughout his ministry, the Rev. Dr. John Kallon served his faith in numerous capacities in the Ivory Coast and the United States and in 1989 at the onset of the Liberian Civil War served as the Bishop’s Deputy for Refugee Intervention Services. He was awarded the Mission Interpreter Award from United Theological Seminary at the 1985 graduation ceremonies as a result of his mission and ministry with donor churches. Currently, Dr. Kallon serves as a liaison between community churches and the Joslin Diabetes Center, a teaching hospital with Harvard University.. The father of five, he lives with his wife, Elizabeth Karfiah in Boston, Massachusetts.
