About the Author:
Ethel A. Hilmer grew up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and married her high school sweetheart in 1948. She and her husband will soon celebrate their 60th year together. They have four children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ethel was an elementary school teacher. After retiring from teaching in the US, Ethel and her husband taught in American schools overseas for ten years. Nigeria, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, Venezuela, and London added new dimensions to their lives. To keep in touch with loved ones far away, Ethel wrote stories for her grandchildren.
