About the Author:
V. LeGeza was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1957. She has a Master's Degree in architecture. LeGeza's first poems and articles on literature appeared in Kiev's press in middle 80s. In 1998, she emigrated to the US. In the short stories of LeGeza, the reader encounters a surprising and extraordinary perspective on life in a foreign land, where new impression are colored by glimmers of magical childhood memories, imagination, curiosity and joie de vivre. LeGeza's short stories have become very popular and are published on a regular basis in the Russian press in America and other countries. Her writing drew editors' attention in the former Soviet Union and US. Also V. LeGeza collects and publishes short stories in anthology "ARENA". It is a collection of contemporary stories by women- writers who emigrated from former USSR. The authors are living now in various countries: USA, England, Spain, Israel, Australia, Germany, Norway, France and Finland. This is the first collection of its kind published in the USA, and perhaps in the world. (Russian.) The last decades are distinguished by a mass of Russian speakers from emigrating from the former Soviet Union and scattering all over the globe. They share a common past, language, culture and education, but their present and future are completely different. Three volumes had been published already, ARENA, 2005, ARENA-2, 2007 and ARNEA-3, 2009.
