A Make-Do Christmas is a labor of love from two small children who teach one of life’s big lessons to all who experience it. A young brother and sister put together a surprise Christmas for their family. They venture into the woods alone at night and pull up a little tree. The little make-do Christmas tree is planted in a bucket of dirt. They call the dirt Christmas Dirt. Since they hear so often, “We’ll just have to make do,” that is just what they do. They gather anything that can be used as gifts to give to the family. Mary Jane and Jerry work all through the night to produce this long overdo Christmas for the family. Although the weather is bitterly cold and the labor is difficult, they never think of themselves during this adventure.
