Review:
I awaited this book with eager anticipation, and when I got it in the mail today I could not wait to read it. I spent most of my lunch and 30 minutes in the car waiting in front of my daughter's school for her to emerge reading it, and I am happy to say that it was great. I am in the middle of writing a nonfiction book, and this helped me look at things in a different perspective. It also gave me a lot of new things to consider that I hadn't before. If you are writing a book, or you plan to in the future, this is a must have guide! -Goodreads user Holly
This book has been written as a no-nonsense guide to writing and completing a nonfiction book... It looks at how to assess your target audience, how to make sure your material is unique and addresses areas in the market that are not yet covered, how to structure your work and how to approach editing (vitally important, as I found out to my cost when having to resubmit my dissertation). The workbook is simple, easy to read and understand, providing exercises to help you develop more clarity about your work and to schedule your tasks...-Goodreads user Marc Williams
The book is a mix of motivational, organizational, and structural tips. It also is part workbook in that there are over 50 questions scattered through the book with spaces for written answers. The questions force you to think about your audience, the marketability of your book, your productivity, and help you work through setting goals. One further aspect of the book that I was impressed with was that the author is donating all royalties from the book's 2015 sales to the Reading is Fundamental children's literacy nonprofit organization.-Goodreads user Kristen
