This book can change or firm your opinion about status of democracy & every political leader in India. Most political analysts describe the XV lok Sabha [2009 - 2014] as the worst in Indian history. It appears so to anyone who just watches the theatrics on television. The impression is not completely true. There is more to Indian Parliament and that is the theme of this book. This book begins with the parliamentary performance appraisal of every Lok Sabha since 1952. The book traces the vicissitudes of Indian parliament from the time of Jawaharlal Nehru and the politics of the day that lead to each performance peak and trough. This book gives you strong reasons to view Indira Gandhi as a democrat and not a flimsy dictator, as folk intelligence would have you believe. This book gives you a compelling reason to consider that Rajiv Gandhi changed Indian Parliament in more fundamental ways than any leader since Nehru. This book helps you put in perspective the charge that UPA II was a spineless wonder and the leadership led to policy paralysis in the country. The book also focuses on the collective and individual contributions of every M.P. in Parliament. The book analyses each legislation that was passed in Parliament and the politics behind the legislation. It is an interesting exercise to analyze the position parties took and the reasons for such positions is presented in the manner it happened in Parliament. For the first time, the actual personal contribution of each MP is analysed and presented, so voters know how their representative helped change India. This book presents an unbiased and objective performance appraisal of every Indian political leader in Parliament.
