At various times in her life, Hill has been a newspaper reporter, a long-haul truck driver, an apprentice electrician and a ‘Going-out Guru’ for the entertainment section of the Washingtonpost.com. As a freelance writer she explored whale hunts and explained the mechanics of flying squirrels for the Washington Post newspaper, among others. She was born in San Antonio, Texas and has a degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma. She knows where to buy a magic wand in London and has made a wish inside Oxfordshire’s Uffington White Horse. Halfnote's Song is her first novel. Octavia's Journey is the second. Prelude, the third book in the series is planned for publication in the summer of 2016.
