Born in Lagos where she currently resides, Funke Awodiya hails from Osun State, Nigeria, a graduate of sociology (Medical Sociology) from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan-Nigeria, Initiator, Safe Dreams Initiative dedicated to Sickle Cell awareness, member, Poets in Nigeria (PIN) and moderator, Eriata Oribhabor Online Photo Fun Contest. Funke’s passion for writing started in her childhood days and has her poems published online and an anthology of poems entitled; Who Shall I Make My Wife (collection of food poems) moderated and edited by Kolade Olanrewaju Freedom and Eriata Oribhabor respectively.
