Written in simple language and based on years of private practice experience, Reflexology and Associated Aspects of Health is aimed at reflexologists, complementary therapists, and interested laypersons. Designed as both a practical guide and a reference, the book stresses the importance of health maintenance over disease management. Beginning with a discussion of the limitations of mainstream healthcare, the author then moves into an authoritative analysis of such topics as foot and ankle loosening, dermatology, nutrition, body energy, chakras and meridians, hows and whys of research, and treatment of stroke patients.

Adrian Seager is a registered reflexologist and chiropodist who ran an active private practice in the Bristol area of England from the late 1980s until his retirement in 2003. He was part of the medical team at NHS Medical Centre in Somerset before becoming regional director, and later vice president, of the UK branch of the International Institute of Reflexology, the oldest international reflexology education and training institute in the West.
Throughout 1998, Seager traveled to several times to Sarajevo, Bosnia, to carry out the training and qualification of a team of physiotherapists—the first qualified reflexologists in this eastern European nation. Since 1997, he has been a member of the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia. In 1999, he became a trustee of the Reflexology Research Trust (a registered charity), and later served as a member of the Reflexology Forum. Seager has a master's degree in management from the University of Bath, a teacher's certificate from the University of London, and holds the International Institute of Reflexology's Certificate in Clinical Medicine. For his service to reflexology, he was named an honorary fellow of the ART Register of Advanced Reflexologists in 1998, and an honorary member of the Association of Reflexologists in 2002.
Seager has appeared on television and radio programs on the BBC, has published several articles on reflexology in national journals, and has contributed to an independent video production about reflexology. Though retired since 2003, Seagar continues to write, give presentations, and otherwise share his experience and enthusiasm for keeping healthy and mobile.
