PreSchool-Grade 2-A posthumous collection of 20 light verses compiled by a former editor of Highlights for Children, in which many of Eastwick's works appeared. The poems are pleasantly undistinguished ("It's a habit/of Rabbit/to leap in the sun,/to dance in/deep clover,/to jump and have fun-"). The selections are accompanied by Maass's amusing ink-and-watercolor illustrations. The poems are arranged by topic-"Nonsense and Humor"; "Nature's World"; "Seasons and Weather"; "Wishes, Dreams, and Fancy." Wonderful, outstanding collections by the likes of Lee Bennett Hopkins, J. Patrick Lewis, or Valerie Worth already exist on these topics. Many folks may want to skip this title.
