Rick and Karen Longabaugh started The Berry Basket and Great American Scrollsaw Patterns their family-owned online and mail order company, specializing in unique and useful scroll saw patterns and accessories in the fall of 1990. What began as one set of collapsible basket patterns became a complete line of fullsize woodworking patterns and hard-to-find accessories. Rick has been featured on the popular PBS show The American Woodshop with Scott Phillips and also on the cover of Popular Woodworking magazine. Many of their unique projects have been published in a number of woodworking publications, including Wood magazine, Creative Woodworks & Crafts, Popular Woodworking, The Art of the Scroll Saw, Scroll Saw Workshop, and Patrick Spielman s Home Workshop News.
Display Your Woodcrafting Talent and Decorate the Home with Your Own Limited Edition Wildlife "Collector Plates." The popular Wildlife Collector Plates of the early 1900's -- limited-edition porcelain or ceramic plates that depicted scenes of nature or wildlife -- are the inspiration for Wildlife Collector Plates, a beautiful collection of woodcrafting projects from scroll saw artisans Rick and Karen Longabaugh. Inside, you'll find over 50 different wildlife patterns that capture the splendor of nature and put your scroll saw talent on display as you create beautiful decorations for any room in the house. Bonus plans for a plate holder are included so your finished projects can be easily displayed on a shelf, desk, or dresser. Wildlife Collector Plates also includes a "getting started" chapter featuring helpful tips and techniques on wood selection, cutting, finishing and assembling the plates.
