Francesco Clemente has also published numerous books, including Francesco Clemente (Abrams, 1985), Black Book (Hansjorg Mayer, 1990), and Evening Raga & Paradiso (Rizzoli, 1992). He was a co-founder and co-editor, with Raymond Foye, of Hanuman Books. Born in Italy, Clemente has lived and worked primarily in New York City for 20 years. There will be a retrospective of Clementes work opening at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York in September; Vincent Katz is an art critic, poet, and translator.
