Madeline’s courage, while coping with devastation, is no less than extraordinary. Walk with her from the Southern California coastline to the timeless streets of Paris. Cheer her on as she faces the raw emotion of one more challenge, often lost in a fog of grief. Will Madeline forge ahead leaving behind the heartache and happiness remembered? Will this illness she suffers take away her last remaining child, or can she look fear in the face and fight like never before? And this gentleman with the forest green eyes, what sadness do they hold? Could he possibly be the one to help her dream again? Will Madeline risk everything, knowing she could be rejected if he learns the truth?

From the Author:
This novel will draw you in to consider a new cell memory theory. Do transplant recipients receive more than the organ donated? Will Paris, sushi or the beach become a new passion after surgery?

Woven into my plot is a woman of incredible spirit, inner strength and a heroine driven to overcome tragedy often lost in a hurricane of distruction and dispare. If you enjoy happy endings after walking through a fire, I believe you will be enthralled.

About the Author:
Pamela Skaggs is a native Californian and wrote "Desires of the Heart" while in the mountains of Mammoth Lakes. She has been an educator at a private Christian School and also worked extensively with the social, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the geriatric community. She has raised five sons and has eleven grandchildren.

Her great love is family but spiritual growth, world travel, reading, golfing and hiking are important to her.

With Pamela's first novel "Ronnie, A Story of Triumph" she created an awareness, of a shadow in American society called domestic violence. "There are too many woman trapped without a voice or name due to fear."

Pamela has just finished her third novel, "Visions of Truth" and is currently researching her fourth book while living with her husband in Southern California.
