At 78 years young, MO ANDERSON remains a beloved leader of Keller Williams Realty. Strong, principled and compassionate, Mo's personal integrity and unending drive are touchstones that have made Keller Williams one of the most successful franchises in real estate history.
Originally a music teacher, Mo taught for 14 years before entering the real estate field. Partnered with Jerry Brown and Ruth Honeycutt, she established her first real estate office, a Century 21 franchise, in Edmond, Okla., in 1975. It became the third top-producing office out of 7,500 Century 21 locations in North America. In 1986, the company was sold to Merrill Lynch Realty, where she served as a district vice president until December 1989.
In 1992, Mo partnered with Gary Keller, co-founder of Keller Williams Realty, and became the regional director for Oklahoma. In January 1995, she was offered the executive roles of president, chief executive officer, and co-owner.
Wonderful book! I recommend it to everyone. It is like Mo is having a personal conversation with you. She shares her success and how she used her experiences from a value packed heritage, and the lessons she gained by growing up as a tenant farmers daughter. She also reveals the hard times, and what helped her push through to the difficult times to triumph not just for her self, but for all those under her leadership. Mo exemplifies how hard work, integrity, and team work brings amazing results for the entire culture of any organization. The book can be use as inspiration to motivate any organization, and show how following a successful mentor, moves many to their own success. --Amazon.com

"A Joy-Filled Life" is not just a catchy title. It is a definition of the real Mo Anderson. And you don't need to search for the "real" person -she's always there, no matter who she's visiting with, mentoring, talking to, teaching, or sharing a laugh with. Which she does often. The story of the tenant farmer's daughter, born into terribly drab, poor, discouraging circumstances, miraculously emerges even in childhood as one whose dreams would save the day - and her life. She listened to her daddy's sage advice, never thought or spoke negatively about another, and knew in her heart that if she worked hard and smart enough, she could be successful. And as you read, you will discover that "successful" is truly an insufficient term with which to describe Mo. Her authenticity and conversational manner makes us feel as though we actually had, with her permission, hidden in her purse to personally witness each and every moment of her joy-filled life. This book is a must read for the down and out, ones who are still searching for life's meaning, and for those who have achieved well and want to be "in" on the secrets of how to give thanks, share praise, and to always value others. --Amazon.com
