About the Author

Samantha Brown, a former Senior Environmental Scientist and proud owner of a successful tea business in Tasmania, Australia, has a teenage daughter and two indoor free-to-roam bunnies. In her mid-40's she found herself struggling with the demands of running a business, parenting a very sporty teenager, incessant joint pain, broken sleep, rapid weight gain and an unusually low libido. Perimenopause was the culprit. Confused, tired and frustrated by her ever changing physical and mental landscape, she wished she had a "Short Guide" to help explain her roller coaster of moods, weight, unwieldy periods, interrupted sleep and many other symptoms to her caring and supportive partner Matt. With an ongoing desire to help others, a hunger for knowledge and an ambition to one day write a book, she used her direct and learned experience of perimenopause and background in science to create this unique guidebook.
