From the introduction: finding family stories, a three-year Art Partnership project, began in 1995 to foster a dialogue between the Japanese American community and its neighbors by developing relationships with other community-based cultural institutions. finding family stories was grounded in the belief that cultural institutions, representing different ethnic communities, could learn from one another-both organizationally and culturally-through the process of developing, implementing, and working on a project together.
