Judezmo is a Spanish word that means Jewish or Judaism. It comes from the word Judah. It was the language of the Jews who lived in Spain before the 1942 expulsion. It is the Sephardic Jewish equivalent to the Jiddish language of the Ashkenazi Jews who lived in Germany. During the Holocaust, 80 percent of the Judezmo-speaking Jewish population was destroyed by the Nazi's.
