About the Author:
Caryll Houslander (1901-1954) was the aughor of more than fifteen books and hundreds of articles while she continued to paint, draw, carve, and teach art to troubled children. Among her most famous books are The Reed of God and This War is the Passion. In them, readers can glimpse the healing compassion toward others that she learned by bearing her own sufferings and through her identification with the sufferings of Christ.
