Synopsis

"Capture the allure of life and reading for beginning bookworms ... Highly recommended."
--Midwest Book Review

Of course all books are alive. Why would you ever think otherwise?

And this book would be honored to be invited into your home, be grateful for your hospitality, and truly treasure your companionship.

After all, the one thing all books have in common (besides being alive) is that they want to be opened, read, considered--all the better if they're also loved, respected, or even recommended.

And if this book manages to brighten your day, make you smile, or remind you how great it is just to be alive--and reading--well then, you might become this book's most favorite reader of all.

About the Author

Justine Avery is an award-winning author who loves writing stories for all sorts of readers. She was born in America but grew up-and is still growing up-all over the world as a natural explorer with a curiosity for all things. She's jumped out of airplanes, off of very high bridges, and into shark-infested waters-to name a few adventures. And books are her favorite adventures of all.

"[Avery's] own energetic wonder of what the world can hold for you if you choose to seek it out shines through." --The Children's Book Review

"We're big fans of Justine Avery here at Bookbag Towers. She doesn't overtax the young readers she's creating for and she always puts out a positive message. ... As with all Avery's books for sharing, the text is ... accessible and rhythmic, optimistic, full of sunshine. I defy any parent child combo to come away without a smile on their faces and with a renewed desire to find as many books and stories to enjoy as the day can hold. ... It is always a pleasure to review a new book by Justine Avery." --The Bookbag

"Perfectly timed. This is something that Justine Avery excels at in her writing; she manages to get the sentiment across with the perfect blend of humor ... Avery connects with her readers ... Avery brings her love for life and adventure to her stories." --Entrada Publishing

"Comic timing is everything ... and, I'm happy to say, Justine Avery is excellent at it. ... The words she picks flow; there's rhythm here that adds flavor to the story." --The Wishing Shelf Review
