About the Author:

The author has over 13 years of teaching as well as working experience in Library and Information Science and have gained extensive hands on knowledge in the field of Machine Readable Catalogue (MARC) i.e. Common Communication Format (CCF), US-MARC, UNIMARC, MARC-21, AACR-2, ISBD-G, DDC (21st Edn.) and LC Subject Heading etc. He has completed his Master of Philosophy in Library and Information Science at Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai with University First Rank (Gold medal). He is currently working as Librarian Head with Lingaya's Institute of Management & Technology (Faridabad) PhD at Vikram University, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. and is going to be awarded during December 2007. He has published number of papers at National and International Journals, conferences and workshops etc. He has sypervised Masters Degree project in Library and Information Science at Indira Gandhi National Open University.
