Paradojicamente, ambas posturas, en principio tan divergentes, vistas desde diferentes angulos, con el cristal del teologo, del antropologo o del historiador, podrian conjugarse en dos afirmaciones que no se contrapongan. Todos los procesos historicos son complejos y contradictorios y como tales, deben ser analizados desde el momento y el lugar en que se desarrollaron. El debate ya lleva varios siglos y quiza se extienda otros tantos, al compas de las distintas concepciones del mundo en que vivimos.
