The Antiquarian Booksellers Association of Canada (ABAC)

Fostering an interest in rare books, manuscripts, prints, maps and ephemera, and maintaining high standards in the antiquarian book trade.

The Antiquarian Booksellers Association of Canada is an organization of a diverse range of Canadian professional booksellers. Our members buy and sell a broad variety of the best books, maps, prints and ephemera Canada has to offer, and are qualified to describe, authenticate and guarantee such materials.

Our association's mandate is to foster an interest in rare books, manuscripts, prints, maps and ephemera, and maintain high standards in the antiquarian book trade; we endeavour to stimulate interest in book collecting by private collectors and public institutions. To further these objectives the ABAC sponsors the pre-eminent Canadian antiquarian book fair, Toronto International Antiquarian Book Fair, held at the Art Gallery of Ontario each autumn.

Customers can deal with our members with utmost confidence, as they each adhere to a strict standard of professionalism, as set out in the Code of Conduct of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers.

AbeBooks is proud to work closely with a number of bookseller associations around the world who are dedicated to upholding high professional bookselling standards.
