Cornelis Tromp shaking hands with Michiel de Ruyter in sign of reconciliation. During the second war against the English, De Ruyter accused Tromp to have inefficiently lead the battle on St. James s Day in August 1666. The dispute was ended after a while with a reconciliation of the two.
