[1] + 58pp. 1st ed., fine in later quarter calf. The author, a member of the Jamaican Assembly known as a supporter of the claims of the free people of colur, denies Lushington's charge that "the state of the free colured people is nearly, of not absolutely, one of slavery." (Ragatz).
