Approximately 0.05% of the population of the United States have run a marathon.
African-Americans represent 6% of the running population in the U.S.
Brownsville, Brooklyn has 58,000+ residents occupying 1.1 square miles of space.
Independently, these facts aren't very interesting but dropped into a blender they have the makings of a compelling story.
“every runner, every day” tells the story of a man from a neighborhood with the slogan “Brownsville, never ran, never will” who discovered a love of running. An inspiring journey with glimpses into failure and perseverance; it offers proof that to be a runner all one has to do is run.
