Caro diario,
perché faccio questa cosa idiota? Ah sì... Durante una delle mie serate dell’autocommiserazione, ho ingurgitato un pacco di biscotti ultra large, quelli con gocce di cioccolato, i migliori. Poi l’istinto suicida mi ha spinto a salire sulla bilancia ed è stata la fine. Mi sono abbarbicata sul letto e ho preso il telecomando: volevo solo spegnere il cervello. Proprio in quel momento è apparso l’intelligentissimo programma che mi ha dato questa idea.
«Sei infelice? Vorresti cambiare la tua vita?», ha detto il presentatore come se si stesse rivolgendo a me. «Scrivi i tuoi obiettivi su un diario, le tue aspirazioni, cosa ti piace e ciò che detesti. Tutto diverrà più semplice e concreto. Riprendi in mano la tua vita!».
Ma torniamo a noi.
Mi chiamo Cat e ho ventisette anni, ma tu queste cose le sai già.
Quali sono i miei obiettivi?
Sembra una di quelle domande dementi che ti fanno ai colloqui di lavoro. Diciamo che al momento ho delle vane speranze: desidero qualche novità, qualche sorpresa che dia una svolta alla mia vita. Tanto so che a dicembre sarò qui ad augurarmi le stesse cose, e non ti odierò per aver riposto male le mie speranze.
Nel frattempo, però, ti prego, ti scongiuro, ti supplico: fammi svegliare con il corpo di Eva Herzigová. Compi il miracolo! Se proprio non puoi trasformarmi in una supermodella, fa' almeno che il mio lavoro torni a rendermi felice e non sia una continua frustrazione.
In caso fossi colto da una generosità fuori dal normale, regalami lui, l’unico uomo di cui sia mai stata innamorata: Eli. Puoi anche impacchettarlo se vuoi; in realtà non sono una persona pretenziosa, quindi va bene anche senza fiocco. Vedi tu, insomma.
