they don't serve beer here: and other depressing thoughts

A book of selected poetry composed by Jeff Reeve since the late 1990's through 2011. The author describes his book as "a hodgepodge collection of poems that opens with a tribute to one of his favorite poets and ends with reflections on the EF-5 tornado that devastated Joplin, Missouri in May 2011. The poems in between may speak of anything: love, politics, sex, and maybe a dog or a flower or an elevator." As a bonus, included throughout the book are digitally created drawings of some of the photographs taken by the author.

Jeff Reeve resides in Joplin, Missouri, with his aging dog "Spats" and a couple dozen tropical fish. Jeff appeases the creative spirits by writing poetry and taking photographs, then writes technical manuals so he can feed his dog.
