Very Good+; cover and first page have a bit of deformation and rust on the top edge, from a paper clip; small pale reddish stain to gutter on the first few leaves; all pages have tanning in the margins; else Fine. This is a facsimile of the autograph score, bound in floppy faux leather covers with a comb binding; 14x11 inches; three separately paginated sections: I Die Estrade, 15 pp; II Moquerie, 12 pp; III Absinth, 15 pp. Arranged for Soprano, flute, clarinet, piano, violin, and cello. Leonard Rosenman (1924 - 2008) was an American composer known primarily for his film and television scores. This work was commissioned by the Schoenberg Institute, which at the time was at the University of Southern California. At the end of the piece the score notes: "Conductor produces a hidden glass of absinth (water) & clicks glasses with the singer, whose glass is on the table next to her. Then they either bow, or run, depending on the audience's reception.". Seller Inventory # 001066
