De petit format (95 x 78 mm), rédigé en néerlandais, la traduction anglaise et les commentaires forment un livret de lxxxvij pp. (170 x 110 mm). Daté 1658, c’est le plus ancien traité de ce genre ; les détails sont remarquablement précis, les aquarelles représentent les différents outils, les presses, les gestes de l’ouvrier et des scènes d’atelier. Rare document, non mis dans le commerce et offert par Israel à ses clients et amis en 1977.
