Whether on vinyl or in digital form, the album has become an integral part of our cultural history. 100 Albums That Changed Popular Music: A Reference Guide tells the stories behind the most groundbreaking, influential, and often controversial albums ever recorded. Narrative chapters in this chronologically organized volume describe how the albums reflected the political, social, and economic culture of the era. Individual entries discuss these albums histories, the inspiration behind their creation, and why they continue to stand the test of time. Selected on the basis of their popular appeal, historical significance, and influence on later genres, the albums included represent a wide variety of genres, such as blues, jazz, rock, reggae, rockabilly, folk, soul, hip-hop, and country.
Among the featured are releases from the hard-blues explosion of the '60s, including Robert Johnson's King of the Delta Blues Singers, a landmark album whose songs were later covered by the likes of Cream, Led Zeppelin, and the Rolling Stones. Punk made its mark in the '70s with such albums as Patti Smith's Horses and the Clash's London Calling. In the '80s Michael Jackson's blockbuster LP, Thriller, not only topped the charts, it become the best-selling record of all time. Diversity defined the '90s, with the most influential albums ranging from Garth Brooks' No Fences, which made country one of the hottest musical genres of the decade, to Dr. Dre's debut, The Chronic, a multi-platinum smash hit that brought West Coast hip hop into the mainstream.

Terms of sale
Postage is based on the weight. We have created different shipping templates for different kinds of items that we sell based on the weight class of books, but also on the value of certain other items that require specialized shipping.
We have 7 different shipping templates: One for light items such as Audio Cds, four for books and two for comic books.
As a example, for most books weighing up to 2.9 lbs (1.3kg) standard postage within Canada is $11.99USD to the USA with Media Mail is $7.99USD and for "standard" International mail is $36.00USD. GST is charged on books and shipping for all Canadian customers.
The shipping templates have a default amount for a second book in the same order but this applies only to items of the same weight class or category. For example, the second CD is charged at $6. Obviously we cannot send a CD and then a second book weighing 7 lbs for a total of $12. We recommend that for orders of multiple items, to contact us to get a quote for shipping. Books requiring special shipping or priority shipping will be quoted. We are glad to quote delivery costs to International buyers. International shipping has become more complicated so it is best to contact us as to the cost and time required for delivery.
Books are carefully wrapped and usually shipped in corrugated cardboard cartons. Books are returnable for a full refund if the book is not as described. The book price only will be refunded for any other reason. Please notify JWMah in advance of any return within 7 days of receipt of the book before sending it back so that we can give you the correct return address for your particular location. .
