Dust jacket is normally scuffed at edges and corners; head of spine & top edge of front cover are chipped. Tail of dust jacket s spine is also chipped; hinges of spine & flaps creased. Light toning/soiling to dust jacket, but otherwise clean and attractive. Light blue cloth boards lightly scuffed at edges and corners. Head and tail of spine bumped. Gilt lettering on spine dulled, but attractive. Author signature found on front end-page, in ink. Light toning throughout text-block, mostly at edges of leaves. Binding intact. Please see photos. Maria Augusta von Trapp (née Kutschera; 26 January 1905 28 March 1987), often styled as Baroness , was the stepmother and matriarch of the Trapp Family Singers. She wrote The Story of the Trapp Family Singers, which was published in 1949 and was the inspiration for the 1956 West German film The Trapp Family, which in turn inspired the 1959 Broadway musical The Sound of Music and its 1965 film version.
