Near Fine book block and case. The jacket bears minor chipping, wear, and a 1-inch stain to the rear panel. Signed to a previous owner on the front free endpaper. First printing. 119 pages. 11.75" x 12". New York artist James Rizzi (1950–2011) combined printmaking, painting, and sculpture with his cartoonish style to produce whimsical, joyful art. 3-D Constructions is the first monograph celebrating the artist, whose subject was frequently but not always New York City. Though there are brief testimonials and an introduction by art critic Gerrit Henry, the work is mostly left to speak for itself, which is highly satisfying. .
