Signed by author on half-title page. First edition hardback, with dust wrapper. Green boards with silver lettering on spine. Head and tail of spine lightly rubbed and bumped. Binding is neat and tidy. Page edges bear some moderate discolouration and foxing. Some generous discolouration and foxing on pastedowns, free endpaper and title pages. Previous owner's inscription on head of front free endpaper: "Beryl Beattie March '54".Colour and black & white photos clear and concise, this book is in good condition. Dust wrapper has some light rubbing and creases at the edges. Thumbing along top and bottom. General discolouration. Spine thumbed. Back cover lightly scuffed, this dust wrapper is in good condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously; they usually present better than they sound.
