Original cream colored imitation morocco covered boards with title and children playing a ring game on covers in gilt; with pink and green floral sprays above and below children and four-line gilt borders for what is an absolutely beautiful copy of the book. Yellow endpapers. [24] pp. The almanac is illustrated by Greenaway with full color drawings within text throughout; some pages with light, scattered spotting. This copy is made extra special by the presence of a signed presentation from the engraver and printer of the book, Edmund Evans, to his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Evans on the back of the FFE. Edmund Evans engraved and printed so many of the wonderful and important books of the period and to have a deluxe first edition copy of this book with a signed presentation from Evans to his daughter is really quite special. The condition of the book is NEAR FINE.
