About this Item
Profusely illustrated with photographs, including 16 pp. in color. Camden, New Jersey: Thomas Nelson & Sons, 1968. First edition. Lavishly illustrated and exhaustively researched reference on Art Nouveau designs in glass produced in America from 1890 to 1925, marking a high spot in the decorative arts. Includes a detailed study of various manufacturers and their histories, with special emphasis on those artisans who created identifiable and collectable pieces, including Louis Comfort Tiffany, A. Douglas Nash, the Durand family, and Frederick Carder. Contains four useful appendices reproducing a complete 1932 catalog published by the Steuben Division of Corning Glass Works, several pages from a circa 1928 Vineland Flint Glass Works catalog, pages from a circa 1914 C. Dorflinger & Sons catalog, and a "Belle Ware" catalog of Carl V. Helmschmied. Signed by Revi on the front flyleaf. Lavender cloth binding, with green and fuchsia stamping. The dust jacket is a bit worn, with a few short tears along the top edge; otherwise a very good copy. Signed by Author. Seller Inventory # 12510
