About the Author
Morgan Molthrop, a New Orleans native, lived in New York for most of his professional career. He worked as vice president of investor relations for Georgeson & Company, a Wall Street consultancy, for clients including The Walt Disney Company. He received a law degree from New York Law School in 1997 and passed the New York Bar. He taught the first class in investor relations disclosure at New York University. He became the vice president of a major telecom in Los Angeles in 1999. He arrived back in New Orleans in 2009, when the city was still reeling from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Since then, Molthrop has become an historical color analyst hosting cultural events and speaking to corporate groups about the unique history of New Orleans. Active in the New Orleans art scene, he has collaborated with Robert Tannen and Tina Freeman in major shows at Julia Street galleries. He is currently writing a book about strategic thinking based on Andrew Jackson's role in the Battle of New Orleans. He is also working on a biographical piece on artist Willie Birch. This is the first of an ongoing collaboration with Tina Freeman.
